The app launched okay for a week or so but has stopped launching a few days ago. 

I have checked that there is no background process running that may be impeding this and found nothing in the task manager. I also restarted my computer which did not help.

I have been using the browser app but I need the remote control feature for my meetings every day.

What else can I do?
