Cannot set up POP3 or IMAP in Thunderbird

I've read the wiki entries and the previous forum replies, followed the instructions (repeatedly), tried it over from scratch (repeatedly), and attempted every combination of settings possible (yup, repeatedly) and Thunderbird still looks as per attached screenshot (IMAP attempts automatically change port settings).
