Cell background problem

I've noticed today that when cell values change they do this weird glowing effect. Sometimes the effect changes the actual background color of my cells. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It would be nice to have an option to disable the glow effect or possibly use a red outline rather than the glow to show how cells are affected by the formula entered.
