Centralized updating of the email templates

I have observed this while setting up workflows for our clients. 

Whenever we edit an email template in the Library, the workflow/s that the email templates are associated with are not updated. What we do is edit the workflow/s, and re- associate the modified/updated email templates.

Our clients find it as a hassle in updating the email templates and re-associating it to the workflows.
  1. What if the email template is associated to multiple workflows? Then they'll have to go through each of the workflows and edit the specific email activity.

Is it possible to have a centralized updating of the email templates?
