I would like to change the way our currency displays when printed on quotes, invoices and purchase orders.

Currently, we have Australian Dollars AUD as our Home Currency.

The only two symbol choices available for this currency are "AU $" or "AUD".
I would like to be able to just have "$" as the symbol, so that the AU or AUD bit does not print on our invoices, quotes etc.

As we only operate in Australian Dollars, it is confusing and just looks silly to have this on our invoices.

Are you able to add the option for "$" as a symbol for AUD, or is there some other formula or workaround that I can use to achieve this?

Thank you,
Bianca.

Hi, any answer for this?

Thanks.

Hi, any answer for this?

Thanks.

Hi.

Currently, this is not possible. We do not have an option to add $ as a symbol for AUD.

As a workaround, you can be achieved this via formula as, and it is not that effective.

You can refer to the sample formula syntax below:
Concat('$ ',Tostring(${Accounts.Annual Revenue}))

Thanks.

This is a joke there is still no solution for this. Shows how amateurish Zoho software is. It's very unprofessional being an Australian company invoicing Australians have displaying it as AU $. Any developer with half an understanding of their customer would realise this.

@Jodie.

I understand the need for this feature, and I checked with the team on the same.

So we have added this to the list, and currently, we are analyzing this feature. As it is still in the analysis stage, I don't have an ETA to share when the development starts.

I'll keep you posted for further updates.

I would like to add also our voice here. Sometimes it is about how it looks and feels, but we also have legal requirements. For example our country does not accept the three letter format for invoice documents, but needs another abbreviation.

It is extremely important that we are able to change it and add our custom one. It is not just for beauty but really something that the taxation office may come and make us an issue for.

Hello Ivan,

Firstly, thank you for adding your vote and sharing your feedback here. We will surely share your feedback to our team. As suggested by
we are analysing the feature and we will surely keep you posted when we have any new updates on this.

Keep sharing your thoughts here. Thanks for understanding!

I agree with this.  There should not be a symbol if it is the home currency.  It is completely backwards from any other software I have worked with.  The symbol should only show if it is NOT home currency.

I also wish Zoho CRM had the ability to change the currency display format. In Vietnam, the currency must be behind such as: 1,000,000 VND. But currently it can only display as đ 1,000,000 or VND 1,000,000, which is not suitable for us.

Hi.

As of now, we haven't provided support for this. However, I have passed your feedback on to the team.

We are currently working on a feature where we will provide the user to choose the $ symbol for the home currency, that is Australian Dollar, and users can differentiate the US dollar by using US $ or USD.

It is in the initial stage of development, and we will keep you posted for further updates on this.

Will this be true for the Canadian version as well?

Having the CA$ in front of the currency values makes no sense for us and just makes the quotes cluttered, especially when other fields are just pulling decimal values.

We can distinguish USD/CAD in other ways and would prefer the option.  I'm sure there are many Canadian customers who only quote in Canadian dollars where the CA$ differentiator is pointless.

Yes, @Thomson.

We plan to make some changes to this in the enhancement we are currently working on. We will be sure to keep you posted for further updates on this.

Hi Pheranda

Is there any possibility to move the currency sign  after the value eg. 100 000 Ft ?
If it is not supported natively, is there any workaround to achive the above result?

Thanks!

Andras

Hi Andras,

Currently, we don't have a possible workaround for this. However, we are actively working on this enhancement to address this case. We will keep you posted for further updates on the progress.

Thanks! As I see it wasnt a priority in the last decade tho :D

so there is no workaround at all? even with some "CSS magic"?

Is the curreny text eg. "Ft" stored together in the database with the value ?

Hi Andras,

We checked but currently, do not see a possible workaround to achieve this case.

Rest assured, we will keep you posted, when we roll out the enhancement.
