Change status to "hired" and "lock" a candidate without having a job opening.

I forwarded a candidate to a customer without a job opening in my system . Now the customer decided to hire the candidate. How can I set a candidate to status "hired” and "lock" the candidate, when I have no associated job opening? Best regards Michael Walser
