No Access to Sales Orders?
No access to Shipping Details and Tracking?
Am I doing this wrong? It would make more sense to have ALL the details pertaining to a sales order available to a client through the portal than having an email trail to follow.
So a client with Portal access sends me a purchase order for a repeat job, I create a sales order, the client approves the sales order (or I just mark it as open), I run the job pertaining to the sales order, load all shipping info and tracking details, and convert the sales order to an invoice when the job is completed.
Why wouldn't this process be made available to the client to view through the portal?
The client would see their purchase order has been received and a sales order made that matches their order number.
They would see when their job is due to be completed because I had entered a delivery date.
Then the client would see that their job has been completed because I had converted the sales order had been converted to an invoice.
And after, the client would see their job pertaining to that purchase order had been shipped as all the delivery details and tracking number would be available right there in the portal as a mirror image of the front end I'm using.
It seems it ALL gets presented in seperate emails creating an indecipherable trail.
If you're doing 10 jobs for the same client at once, and each of the jobs are to be shipped to a different client of my client....
Wouldn't it make sense to just have this info available in the portal? Like how a quote is? Like an invoice or statement is?
Am I missing something or is there quite a big hole in the client portal?
