CNAME verification

Hello,

I've got 2 domain names. I already verified one (using HTML verification). I also changed these MX records to the servers of Zoho. This didn't work so I had to change the MX records back to my old server.
I wanted to verify the second one by TXT or CNAME record. Both didn't work: I tried both methods and waited for at least one day. According to the tool " http://viewdns.info/dnsrecord", the record is set and can be found. Is there anything I could be doing wrong?
