i am trying to create a bar graph that displays monthly performance each year. So if i had 2008 to 2010 there would 4 bars side by side for each month. see attached 'monthly sales performance' example from excel

I just can't figure out how to do it

I am also trying to do the same thing but with the figure accumulating. see attached 'accumulating monthly sales performance' example from excel.

I can't figure out how to do this either. 

can somebody help?
