Confused about email setup and verfications
Hi,
I am starting a new business and trying to set up all of the email addresses I would need. For example:
myname@companyname.com,
socialmedia@companyname.com,
annoucements@companyname.com.
I am using the free Zoho Mail version to test out the service. I have made the three addresses above with the email admin, and have Zoho mail linked to my company's domain. However, I am running into issues and confused as to how to use Zoho best.
For example: I want to use the announcements email to manage my email campaigns in Zoho Campaigns. However, when I did that, one of two things happen.
1) When I try to login to
annoucements@companyname.com, it asks for the verification code for the email. The code is in the email address I am trying to access; so there is no way I can get the code. Its a catch-22 issue.
2) It asks me to set up a phone # for the account, but when I provide my #, it says it is already registered to another account (I'm assuming
myname@companyname.com).
I saw some older posts that said that Zoho doesn't allow multiple email addresses to use the same phone number. Is that still true? If so, you are limiting a company's ability to scale by the number of phone lines they have and therefore are less useful of a service.
Is there a better way to manage multiple email addresses that I want to use? I tried making a secondary email address within my primary email (
myname@companyname.com), but it sent a verifciation email to the secondary email, and I cannot get into that account to verify it because it asks for the verification code before I can get in.
Thanks, I really want to use Zoho and a lot of your apps to run my business, but right now I am hesitant.
