confusing "Sender" header
Scenario:
I was hoping to set up a Zoho pilot with a small department (have to start somewhere), and so I cannot change the MX record for the whole organization to point all emails at Zoho.
So, I configured email forwarding to Zoho and specified (and verified) the new "default" sender email (something like me@company.com instead of me@zoho.com).
The problems:
1) zoho mail includes the "Sender" header into all outgoing emails. In this header it specifies the original zoho account instead of the identity used, something like "Sender: me@zoho.com"
Many email clients will simply ignore the discrepancy between "From:" and "Sender:" headers and go with "From:"
However, quite a few would displayed "Sent by me@zoho.com on behalf of me@company.com" thus confusing the hell out of the recepient. This behavior is easiest to observe in Hotmail and MS Outlook.
I really cannot put business users through this...
2) zoho also specifies Return-Path: as the originnal zoho acount, (not the businness email), thus creating a lock-in, since all replies to that message will come to zoho even if the user is long gone and the corporate email address if pointing elsewhere.
Come on, guys, I know you plan to be bigger than Microsoft, but you do not have to start by being nastier than them!
