Connecting events/tasks/notes in one central location

Connecting events/tasks/notes in one central location

I also am a new user, and can't figure out how to connect an event with a contact.  The event was created first and we have now added the new contact.  We seem to have issues with connecting notes/tasks in one area (account, contact) with the main account.
