Consolidated History

Is there an option, or can we have one, for a "Consolidated History" under each contact and potentially under each Account?  I am sure there are plenty of reasons why someone might want to see their emails, completed tasks, notes, completed events, etc. sorted out under individual headings, but for our use this just makes the history of what has gone on in the account hard to follow.  I do like the ability to just look at the tasks or the emails, but what about an option to consolidate all closed activities (emails, notes, tasks, events, calls, etc.) under one "History" section that simply shows everything sorted by date?
