contact/e.mail functionality

I am about 500 contacts successfully loaded into Zoho CRM, but when I go to compose an e.mail, the contacts are not available to me. ie. I kind've expect it to work like g.mail when I can start to type a contact and it will recognise it.

Surely I don't have to go to the contact, find it, copy paste it.

Any help would be appreciated.
