Contact form use
Contact form use
After being some time adapting this CRM to my needs I come with a quite logical situation:
A contact is on a 2nd stage of the CRM funnel.
That is, first you get a lead, (and so it seems to be), this lead can be converted to all: 1contact, 2account and 3opportunitty.
So what is a web-to-contact-form for?? The problem here is that if you have a current customer (or provider) you need more information about, you cannot fill in both the contact AND the account information (only the account name). Why would I ask a client to update information in a form if he can not put things related to his company like VAT number, adress etc?? (all needed to export to invoicing) Then I would have to update much of it by hand, have more sources of different info, more to do... those are very bad options.
This makes the web-to-contact-form pretty unuseful for me as it is.
The only possibilities I can see for this kind of form are 2:
1. The web-to-contact-form lets you put fields for accounts.
2. or even better/ why not? -->
- generate an unique url I can send to my existing customer (via email)
- it will display the current information existing in the CRM about him (please with white label!)
- the customer can update, add and validate the information to easilly submit it.
- All I have to do is suppervise and export data to invoice!
That would be a very good one.
Until this happens I see the only possibility available is to create a lead-to-contact-form to add and validate information (from scratch to the customer), manually contrast it against the existing one and manually convert it to all account, contact & opportunity
