Contact Sort Logic
I know this has likely been requested many times, but the sort logic in Contacts needs to be enhanced.
1) Sort by Last Name should be:
a. Look at Last Name field, use if not NULL
b. Last Name = NULL, use Company if not NULL
c. Company = NULL, use First Name
2) Create Sort by Company logic to go by Company-->Last Name-->First Name
3) Quit requiring a First Name value in the record. This would eliminate the need for you to populate the First Name field (and require it) with the characters to the left of the @ sign in the email address and would stop junking up the top of the list.
4) Quit requiring an email address. Some company records, my grandmother, etc. don't have an email address to associate.
