We have a curtain and blind manufacturing company. Want to track leads and conversion/sales with Zoho.

We have access to all the records of the new houses that are being built. But not all have a contact name. I thought it might be easier to load them up as a lead with the address as the main feature. Trouble is that when you convert it the new contact is now the address not the person you may have now found. This can be changed manually in the edit.

But then I had a new issue. If the contact was already existing ie: An account we have builds a new house. (we don't always know it's our customers, long story). Once I know it's their house I went to chance a lead to a contact. When I edited I added my account as the main company and contact as my contact at that company. However now I have two contacts with the same name and I cannot merge these.

I am scratching my head as to the best way to go forward. Here below is a list of some of the info we have initially.

Often have builders details on the building consent. We need to talk to the owner however. So do some phone calling etc and finally get the owners details and they want a measure & quote. Now its time to turn the lead into a contact with a potential. Thats where we currently come un stuck a little.
