Contacts stick to wrong accounts

Hi, I have a big problem with Zoho, I have different a lot of different projects and each project has a different list. My problem is when I import the contacts to match the accounts the contacts can sometimes stick to the wrong account. Say for example I have 2 lists with some of the same accounts on each but I need to import the two lists as they are different projects and there will be different notes for Joe Bloggs that works for company A in project 1 compared to Joe Bloggs that works for company A in project 2. This is after causing me serious problems as it has happened on more than one occasion.
