Conversion from ACT! to Zoho

I'm attempting to convert a client from ACT! to Zoho.

I'm thinking that the ACT notes should become Events. Is this the best place for notes associated with Contacts?

During the import, there isn't a location for the Contact ID. Is it associated by Contact Name?
