1. We have Contacts - lets consider these Customers, and;

2. We have Leads - lets consider these at least semi-qualified Prospects. Inbound calls from mail, Internet, TV/Radio.

And! If we have the Enterprise Zoho License, we get these cool Custom Modules, awesome!

Thus now in addition lets say

3. We have this new custom model called Farm Data - raw records that can be dialed out. We don't want to mix these with the high qualified Leads in the Leads Module. (We don't want to important 10,000 raw farming records in with Leads. We would be stuck always having to filter them out.)

The Custom Module makes great sense and again awesome!

4. Thus we import our farming records into the Farm Data custom module and our sales team goes to work. Dialing! And Wala! We have an interested Prospect from the farming list. Wonderful!!!

5. Time now to Convert this Farm Data record to a Lead. Lets just click the Convert button... but wait!!!!!!

OMG! There is NO Convert button....

We have this awesome sadly completely stand alone custom module system. but no where to go. Yes yes we have lookup associations with other other modules but this is a big limitation as you can see from my example above.

Direct mail is a great example of this. Maybe we want to dump all our mail records in a Mail custom module then pull them in to Leads when we get an inbound call.

Thoughts, work around, or affirmations that this would be a great idea to add to ZOHO - like sooner than later.
