Convert Lead Automation Trigger
Currently, there is only a convert lead action available in workflow rules and blueprints. Also, there is a Convert Lead button available but it doesn't trigger any automations. Once the lead is converted to a Contact/Account the dataset that can be fetched through Deluge or APIs about it is very limited as it includes only a small subset of data from standard fields and no data from any custom fields.
We need to achieve the following requirements:
1. fetch all lead fields and values at the point of lead conversion
2. fetch lead timeline history at the point of lead conversion
3. fetch the history of lead status field changes at the point of lead conversion
It is possible to fetch point 1. with Get Record by ID built-in function and points 2. and 3. with Get Timeline APIs. What we are missing is the automation trigger at the exact moment of lead conversion.
After researching available options the only other way that this could potentially be done is to trigger a workflow on edit of all field changes. However, this is not an option as it would most likely go over existing API limits.
There are plenty of other posts in the community asking for the convert lead automation trigger for different purposes.
I'd strongly suggest that Zoho CRM product management considers providing this capability to the community.
