Correct process to map customers in zoho CRM with unique ID

Hi there - we are a car wash business, looking to see if anyone can help point us in the right direction to set up ZOHO CRM in the best way. Currently, we have the CRM setup with a custom module called "Customer Vehicle" which represents a vehicle that is tied to a single Customer. 

Looking to see what the best way to be able to have a CRM user enter the vehicle license plate number, and check if the customer already exists in ZOHO. If so, create a deal for the customer. If the customer does not exist, to create a new customer, and then finally, create a deal.

This would all be triggered by entering the customer vehicle license plate number. 

In Salesforce, I know this is possible via a screen flow, any guidance on how best to do this with ZOHO would be very helpful - thanks!
