CPQ in Zoho CRM is now supported in sandbox

We're excited to announce that CPQ is now supported in sandbox environments.
CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) functionalities help businesses streamline their sales processes. Features like Product Configurator, Price Rules, and Guided Selling help sales teams pre-configure product combinations, set direct/volume-based pricing and discounts, and generate quotes more efficiently, to name just a few benefits.
These features not only increase efficiency but also enhance customer satisfaction by guaranteeing that sales proposals are both prompt and accurate.

Previously, CPQ functionalities like Product Configurator, Price Rules, Guided Selling, and CPQ permissions were only available in the live CRM setup. This limited testing and configuration capabilities for users who needed a safe environment to experiment with these features before implementing them in their live CRM.
With this update, we've extended CPQ functionalities to sandbox environments.
What can you do now?
- Create and configure: Set up and configure CPQ rules in a sandbox environment without affecting your live production data. Additionally, you can modify your live CPQ rules in the sandbox per your requirements. This ensures that all your CPQ rules, configurations, and permissions are accurately replicated and tested before going live.
- Test and validate: Thoroughly test all CPQ-related aspects, including Product Configurator, Price Rules, and Guided Selling. Ensure that everything works as intended before deploying changes to your production environment.
- Deploy changes: Seamlessly deploy new rules or the modifications made in the existing rules from the sandbox to your live CRM environment.
Prior to deployment, you can compare the changes made in Product Configurator, Price Rules, and Guided Selling, as well as the profile (CPQ) permissions to see what has been added, modified, or removed.
Here’s how it works:
- Product Configurator and Price Rules: These features are available only in Configuration and Data-type sandboxes with Partial Production Data. When creating the sandbox, if you select a module for which Product Configurator and/or Price Rules are configured, these configurations will automatically be imported into the sandbox for testing. This enables you to test and validate product configurations and pricing rules per your business requirements, and push them to your live setup once ready.
- Guided Selling: This feature is available in both Configuration and Configuration and Data-type sandboxes. Testing it in a sandbox enables you to set up new guided selling processes, edit your existing flows, or delete them if necessary before implementing changes to your production environment.
- CPQ permissions: You can adjust CPQ permissions within the Sandbox environment for both Configuration and Configuration and Data-type sandboxes.
Note:
- In the sandbox environment, when creating a Product Configurator/Price Rule, only records imported from production will be listed.
- We don't yet support migrating records from the sandbox to production, so records created within the sandbox will not be included.
