I understand from a past conversation with support that it's possible to have a report 'linked' to a contact, so that I could click this link when on the contact view page, and I could run a report that could show me all emails, open activities, closed activities,  and notes associated with that contacts account. This would give me the ability to get a summary of what other users have been doing on the account page, but without me having to leave the contact page. 

I understand how to run a report like this for a single contact or account, but I'd like to format this report in such a way that it pulls in the ID for whichever contact/account my user is clicking the link from. In other words, I don't want to pull up a report of every contact / account in my database. I just want to see a report for the contact/account that I'm viewing at that time. 

The zoho support agent I spoke with said  I should "create a perma link for my account in zoho reports and create a url field in zoho crm for account module and insert that link in the module" .

I understand how to create the permalink from Zoho reports, and I understand that I can mass update all my contacts to include this permalink in a URL field. What I don't understand is how to build this report. Any help is appreciated.
