Create many-to-many association between records within a module
Hello Everyone,
We are now allowing many-to-many association between records from the same module using the multi-select lookup field, that is, a record from a module can be associated with another record from the same module.
For example, in an employee database you can use a multi-select lookup to associate other employees as manager or subordinates of an employee (record). The related list of the employee's record will display his manager and subordinates.
You can click the + Assign button to assign employees to their respective roles. In the screen below, Peter, Alice, and Kathy are all employees. In Kathy's related list, you will see that Alice is the subordinate and Peter the manager.
How to create the self-referencing lookup field?
The related module drop-down in the multi-select lookup field will now display the name of the same module where you are creating the field.
