Create potential from lead

I am working with Zoho CRM and I am using Leads to document whom I am trying to attract to be a customer. When I have the opportunity to send a proposal I would like to create a potential BUT I do not want to create an new account until the Lead really are a new customer ie a new Customer account.

Does anyone know if there is a possibility not to create a new account when converting Leads into potentials?
