Is there a way to create a view in Contacts that shows only the "Created Date" without the Time?

We need to make an email template for following up old contacts, and want to include something like:

"Hi NAME, you contacted us on DATE to enquire...." having the exact time there incl. minute sounds a bit weird.

Or can this be at least done via an export so we can email merge via Outlook with that Field?
