Dear Zoho CRM team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to kindly request your assistance regarding the creation of a creation date field in the Deals module. I have attempted to add a formula field using the "now()" formula, but I am unsure if this is sufficient.
Could you please advise if this method is correct, or if there are any additional steps I should take to create a proper creation date field? For instance, would it be necessary to create a separate date field and then set up a workflow to input the date at the time of creation but prevent it from being edited when the deal is edited?
Thank you for your time and expertise, and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
Juan Martin Lopez
I got an answer from Zoho support saying:
"Hello there,
Greetings from Zoho One Support.
With regards to your query , we have analysed the case and by default we have the created time field using which we can use it as a trigger to run work flows , and it is a system defined field that captures the record creation time and we request you to elaborate your requirements along with relevant screenshots, so that we can check accordingly. Having a little more information about the situation will help us evaluate and assist you better.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Alternatively, if it is urgent, you can reach our Toll Free numbers or connect through Live Chat support assistance."
But I think I made a mistake and deleted the field in the configuration process because I don't see it anywhere in the deals field's module edit design page.
I only see it in the Leads module
