Creating a function - need help

Hi,

I am having trouble getting a function to work properly. Details are:

Form name: Student

Field name: Status - it is a drop down with two options - "Actioned" and "not Actioned"

The default entry on form success is "Not Actioned"

I am trying to create a function so that in the View for the Student form I can have a button which enables users to change the Status field from "Not Actioned" to "Actioned" only for that record.

Can someone help me out? Thanks a lot.
