In the past few days, when creating a new task from within a Contact, the task disappears (unsaved) as soon as the date is selected
This applies whether the task is created from the option at top right of screen, or via the link below the tasks for that contact
If a task is created, data entered (date left the same), saved, opened again - THEN the date changed, it works fine
