Creating custom quotes

trying to create a custom quote form and would like to auto populate some of the information on the form from information that is in the potential

Example in potential I have a custom pick list field call "num of passengers" On the quote form I also want the number of passengers listed. How can I automatically get this information into the quote without having to reenter.
