Creating report to find records without an Activity in a particular state

Is there a way to do this?

In effect, I need to check for the lack of existence of an Activity (Tasks, in my case). Further, I want to generate a report that shows me Leads/Deals/Accounts/Contacts with no Activity having a Status of Completed.
