- Report Regeneration
- We should not have to do a report generation every time we access a report. It is confusing to clients when they need to conduct a regeneration and when they can rely on the data that populates. I have found that these reports have to be regenerated very regularly and the data that populates is often several days old or doesn't even make sense. For example, today I pulled up a report that only showed 20 records, when it should be showing thousands. Upon regeneration, these reports show correctly again.
- Data Not Populating Accurately
- We have several reports that are set to show records within a specified data range. This report has worked fine for several months, but for no reason we can find, it will randomly begin excluding data that exists within the full database. For example, we have a customer service report that pulls all records from November 2011 to October 2012. All of a sudden today, data from June no longer populates within this report. I have tried regenerating and even creating a brand new report, but for some reason the data from June 2012 will not populate even though it meets the criteria and has populated within the report for several weeks prior to today.
These issues have been reoccurring for us and have eventually gone away, but they consistently re-appear. We need to be able to rely on this data and the inconsistency of these reports is posing a problem for us. We need our data to generate correctly upon the loading of the report (without having to regenerate) and we need this data to pull correctly.
