CRM Activities Time Zone Issue

I schedule meetings across the US, is there a way to select the time zone of where a meeting will be held?  

For example, I am located in CST and need to schedule a meeting that is 8:30-11:30 PST.  I invite the participant but it shows as 6:30-9:30 on the receivers calendar.  How do I correct this, it's very confusing to our customers.
