CRM API for Google Drive

Is there an API function that lets me link a document in Google Drive to a Zoho record rather than uploading a copy of the document using the CRM API uploadFile() method?

We already use https://www.zoho.com/crm/help/google-apps/attach-from-google-docs.html but want to call this functionality from the API.
