CRM Calendar is not syncing to correct time in Google

Hi,
I have my  crm time zone set to EDT for Detroit since I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. My CRM events are syncing to google calendar 3 hours ahead of where they should be. I've tried a couple other EDT options in crm settings and it's still off by at least 2 hours.
