CRM Calendar Sync to Google suddenly causing duplicate entries in Google

I've had Zoho CRM Calendar set up with a two-way synch to Google Calendar without problems about 18 months.

Last week, the sync has started causing duplicate entries (and occasionally triple entries)  in Google.  No changes were made to my account - it just started happening.

If I add an event in Google, it is added to Zoho CRM, but then added back into Google, so I get two entries. If I edit the Google calendar entry, I get another duplicate. 

I've reset the two-way synch, but this is continuing. 

Has anyone else encountered this problem. It is a major issue, since our clients are also getting duplicate calendar invites as a result of this problem and it is cause a huge amount of confusion.

In addition, other users in our company are not experiencing this issue.
