Anyone else frustrated by the inability to move values up and down in a Custom Pick List?
Anyone else frustrated by the lack of an "empty/null/void" value in a Custom Pick List?
I did a Mass Update and selected a value from a Custom Pick List. Then I wanted to edit some of those records and have the Custom Pick List show as empty.
Customer Service told me I could delete the value from the setup/customization. But then if I want to add the value back in the custom pick list -- I can't move it up or down into the order where I had it originally.
Sounds like you have to do it exactly right the first time, e.g. don't ever pick a value from a custom pick list if you want the option to have it be empty in the future. And don't delete a value from a custom pick list if you want to add it back in a specific order (unless your values are prioritized alphabetically).
Guess I have to delete the entire field and start all over. Seems like a lot of trouble and still doesn't help if I want to change a field with a custom pick list item to be blank.
