CRM IMAP not syncing system forwarded/redirected emails.

We have several email addresses that are set up to forward to our active email inboxes (cPanel). Some are old employee emails that our customers still email. These emails makes up a significant portion of customer communications. How these show in our inboxes is: from customer@customer.com, to notCurrentUsersEmail@ourCompany.com. Our inboxes are synced to CRM with IMAP. Emails sent directly to the users email sync correctly and populate in our contacts and opportunities, but these forwarded emails do not. Has anybody else encountered this, are there any workarounds or anything?
