CRM Portal Self-Registration

Currently, portal users for the CRM need to exist as contacts in the CRM, who must then be manually invited to use the portal. A problem arises where there is a requirement for these contacts to start using the portal at their own discretion (i.e. not requiring a manual invite). Zoho is lacking in this feature. Currently, they must be manually invited. A feature should exist where, say, from the portal URL, a contact can click "register a portal account", which could only be done using the email address stored in their respective contact record. A verification email could then be sent to the specified email for identity confirmation, and voila, automatic portal registration (self-registration).

Please can this vital feature be implemented next? It would be invaluable.
