CRM+ pricing problems with zoho projects
The issue we are facing is a bundling issue. In general we like the features and pricing of
crm
+, and before we subscribed to that package. But the package would not allow us to add more users of zoho projects who were not crm+ subscribers. I believe there is a confusion on the part of zoho about who uses projects. Not only is projects used by customer facing staff, but it is also used (and in our case even more) by operations staff who do not communicate with customers.
Zoho staff provided a suggested workaround that we add our staff as clients. This workaround is laughable. We did first try this workaround of making our staff be listed as clients inside zoho projects (suggested by various staff at zoho), but this didn't work well from my perspective. I didn't want staff to have to use a different login for zoho projects.
I am sure you must be hearing about projects bundling problems clients are having every day, I am sure we are not the only ones.
Trying to push an organization to have everyone be client facing is an interesting endeavor and is what Tony at Zappos does, but it does not suit my company.
This pricing system results in my company overpaying for the same level of service that you offer to other clients. We are even willing to pay separately for projects, just give us the crm+ suite without projects attached to it...It's like McDonalds telling the customer they are not allowed to buy a second chicken sandwich because he already bought the happy meal (package) and if he buys more he will get fat...
