The absence of a cron / schedule trigger for agents is a major oversight, and it actually seems like it would be the easiest trigger to implement.

Many of the tasks I want an agent to take care of are things that happen on a regular cadence daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

I understand the value of app-triggered agents, but scheduled is another big class.
