Custom Field Display on Front End

I have created a custom field at the product level and that field is viewable if I go to the full product page.  However, is it possible to add a custom field to display on the category thumbnail view of a product?  I have a field for "Actual Size" because a product might be 12x12 "class" but actual size is 12x11.8 and since people add the item to their cart from that thumbnail view, it's important to show the actual size on that view.
