Custom Field Limitations, Poor Customer Support, Bate & Switch

I have never experienced poorer customer service, with any company ever.  Zoho has a single goal, to Upgrade your version and increase its bottom line.  It is NOT interested in helping your BUSINESS.  Otherwise, they would actually provide support (like it did when it first came out).

I had the FREE version.  I was told (electronically) to upgrade to create custom fields.  I test drove the Standard.  I added the custom Fields.  Never used them, as I was testing.  Went back to FREE version and finished the my evaluation of the type of customer I needed.

I upgraded to STANDARD to use/modify the CUSTOM fields I had created during by Trial version.  It was only then did I learn of the hidden limitation in the STANDARD version.

Found out that when I TEST drove the STANDARD version, all the fields I added, though I never used, counted as CUSTOM fields towards the LIMITATION of custom fields you can create in the STANDARD edition.  Which I did not just discovered, until I tried to add/delete/customize the fields already created.

I tried to GET customer support.  GOT NOTHING.  No return email, phone call or any type of support.

I cannot add anymore custom fields until I UPGRADE AGAIN.  You cannot delete unused CUSTOM fields to reduce the number, and once you create any customer FIELD the properties of that FIELD are permanent, therefore, I cannot just RE-EDIT the custom FIELDS already created to meet the needs. Is there a workaround, or can you work with Zoho to delete the unused fields to create new.  I do not know.....I never heard from Customer Support!!!!!!!!11

Additionally, you are forced to have at LEAST 2 users for every subscription, and with the pricing nearly dbl since I started using zoho, I have finally got Zoho marketing message, you either go to the ENTERPRISE version, or you go somewhere else. 

I am not wanting to triple my cost just because ZOHO is poorly designed and supported. 

So since I now have a bunch of unwanted CUSTOM fields, that I cannot EDIT, MODIFY or DELETE, and I canot get any support, I think I have finally gotten the Zoho customer service message, you are not the client we want, time to move on.





ZOHO is a rip off......if you add all the cost you are required to pay for all the fuctionality you really need, to run your small/med business, you will be paying over paying for ZOHO by HUNDRENDS and HUNDRENDS of dollars other similiar products without the LIMITATIONS.  THERE ARE SOME REALLY GOOD Alternatives for a lot less money by the time you add the cust of gong to the ENTERPRISE version.  Additionally, many of them have 10 times the storage which is included in the price.
