Custom Fields Maximum Limit

Hi There,


Recently CRM told me we'd reached our maximum limit of 20 integer fields in our account pages and wouldn't allow me to add any more. Since I have deleted numerous old integer fields that we do not need anymore but it is still saying we've reached our limit.

In addition, when I try to edit an account or contact at the moment I am receiving the error message 'please select an active user'. why would this be?

Could somebody offer any advice please?
