Custom Layout Problems - view different for different users

I have worked on custom fields and custom layout under the potentials module (and renamed it to Projects).  Everything was going well until I  went to show my boss what I had done.  He logged into his account on Zoho CRM and the layout was completely different and was still named 'Potentials' (even though the actual tab says Projects).  So I now feel really embarrassed, I have spent the best part of 6 hours making a completely customized 'Projects' module with formulas and cost allocations blah blah and he logs in and there is no change.  I have tried it on 4 users: 2 show the new layout and 2 show the original layout.

Can someone please help me asap otherwise I am in trouble!!!
