Custom Status Value with Completed Function

Hi! I'm using Zoho CRM to manage student records for a small university. I'm using Activities for homework and attendance records so I added "present" and "absent" values to the Task Status selections. I'd like the task to show under the completed activities if either of these choices are selected but keep the same value ("present" or "absent" rather than "completed") so that I can easily view their attendance history. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for your help.
