Custom Text Area Field under Invoice Settings

Custom Text Area Field under Invoice Settings

I've created a custom field ( text area) under the invoice settings. When I go to input default text, under "fields List", within my new custom text area field...it will only allow me to enter one line of text.

Please confirm, a text area refers to more then one line?? It seems like this is possible, as there is a default field "terms and conditions", under the the "fields list", which works the way a text area field should work.

Please confirm what I must be doing wrong?
