Customer portal - edit record access denied

Hi,

I have set up this customer portal for the Contacts module.

I set portal user permission so that they can create, edit, and view any records that are linked to their record. (screenshot 32)

The problem is: The portal user can only edit records that they created directly inside the portal (screenshot 29). If I, as a zoho organization user (not portal user), created a record and link it to the portal user, they will be able to View it, but not edit it (Screenshot 30 and 31)

Reading Zoho knowledge base, it seems intended to be that way. I really need to find a workaround this, maybe a custom function that can grant permission through Deluge?

In my business case, I, inside Zoho, assign records from differnt modules to the user type through the lookup field, and I absolutely need them to be able to edit the records from the portal.
