Hi, I believe it would be great if you let the user chose the date format (gg/mm/yyyy, mm/gg/yyyy, mm/gg/yy or gg/mm/yy). In Europe the most used format is gg/mm/yyyy and it's difficult read the date in the mm/gg/yyyy format.
